To sell your item quickly it’s important to create the perfect listing by focusing on photographs and product descriptions. If you want to attract the right buyers, make sure your description is clear, simple and honest and your photographs are detailed and well-lit.
If at any point it becomes clear that the item does not perfectly match its description or photographs, we will inform the buyer or cancel the sale. For more information about items that aren’t approved 🔍 click here.
Create the perfect listing by following these simple guidelines
Only sell Vestiaire Collective approved items. For more information, please refer to our Catalog Rules 🔍 here.
Inspect your item carefully. Be upfront about any small defects such as scratches or stains and include photographs of any problem areas.
Choose the condition that best describes your item. If you do not select the most representative condition of your item, we may need to inform the buyer or cancel the sale during Quality Control. If you can't decide between two quality ratings, choose the lower one. To find out how to describe the condition of an item, 🔍 click here. Please note, vintage is not a condition but a period. You could mention it but don’t forget to provide the condition as well.
Get snappy. Include a minimum of 2 well-lit, quality photographs taken against a plain background. Take clear photographs of any defects. Find more information on how to take great photos 🔍 here. Be sure to include:
-
- At least 1 picture where we see the whole item (Front)
- At least 1 picture where we see the brand tag of the item
- Any other pictures that will help us to confirm the item's authenticity.
We do not allow images that include:
Your main photo cannot show the item being worn or displayed on a mannequin because it will be cropped. But you may add these images as additional photos.
Please do not include any liquids in any parcels you ship. Any liquids included are forbidden.
Be thorough. Describe your item precisely and in as much detail as possible, including color, size and material.
Include any supporting information. If you have a proof of authenticity, please provide the invoice, bill or receipt (these are the only documents that will certify the authenticity of the product), certificate of authenticity or any other documentation that will help us confirm the item's origin. If the item has been modified by the brand, please provide proof. If you don't have proof of authenticity, please provide more details on the origin of the product: location, year, bought on Vestiaire Collective, outlet, etc... Please note, the information provided will not guarantee your item is authentic but will help in our decision.
Set a fair price. Have a look at similar listings on Vestiaire Collective and set your price accordingly.
Choose your moment. List your items during the season in which they’re most likely to sell.
