We do everything in our power to ensure every item sold on Vestiaire Collective arrives exactly as described by the seller.
Before a listing can be published, the item, its description and its photographs will be carefully reviewed by our digital team. This process can take up to 48 hours.
Our approved items
We kindly request that all items adhere to Vestiaire Collective's rules in order to be approved. For more information, please refer to our 🔍 Catalogue Rules
Once submitted, here are the key reasons an item or listing would not be approved:
Photographs
To accept your listing, we need photographs that are:
- Original - We cannot accept photographs taken from the internet and/or from brands’ websites
- Clear and detailed - Images should clearly show the item from various angles, including a shot of the entire item on its own. From the photographs, our team should be able to see both close-up details (labels, tags, marks or flaws) as well as full view shots that are clear and well-lit.
We do not allow images that include:
Your main photo cannot show the item being worn or displayed on a mannequin because it will be cropped. But you may add these images as additional photos.
If the photographs provided are not clear enough for us to adequately assess the item, we will not be able to publish your listing.

Authenticity
We want Vestiaire Collective to be a place where our community can buy and sell with absolute confidence.
When assessing an item, our expert teams apply specific criteria to ensure the item is exactly as described by the seller. If we have any doubt about an item’s authenticity, or we are not able to confirm that the item perfectly matches the description provided by the seller, the item will not be approved.
If you have proof of authenticity, please provide the invoice, bill or receipt (these are the only documents that will certify the authenticity of the product), certificate of authenticity or any other document to help us confirm its origins. If the item had been modified by the brand, please provide proof.
If you don't have a proof of authenticity, please give us more details on the origin of the product: location, year, bought on Vestiaire Collective, outlet, etc...
Please note, the information provided will not guarantee your item is authentic but will help in our decision.
