Before publishing a listing, the description, photographs and price of the item are carefully reviewed by our team. This process can take up to 48 hours.
When an item is ordered with authentication, it is shipped to our nearest hub to be physically assessed by our expert teams. The item is carefully checked, and compared to the published listing to make sure there are no differences between the item and the description provided by the seller.

Here are the key reasons an item or listing would be refused:
Photographs
If the photographs provided do not allow us to adequately assess the item, we will not be able to publish your listing.
To accept your listing, we just need photographs that are:
- Original - We cannot accept photographs taken from the internet
- Clear and detailed - Images should clearly show the item from various angles, including a shot of the entire item on its own. From the photographs, our team should be able to see both close-up details (labels, tags, marks or flaws) as well as full view shots that are clear and well-lit.

Authenticity
We want Vestiaire Collective to be a place where our community can buy and sell with absolute confidence.
When assessing an item, our expert teams apply specific criteria to ensure the item is exactly as described by the seller. If we have any doubt about an item’s authenticity, or we are not able to confirm that the item perfectly matches the description provided by the seller, the item will be refused.
Alterations
If an item has undergone aesthetic alterations, our experts will refuse the item and the buyer will be refunded. Examples of aesthetic alterations are dyeing, added embroidery, beads or diamonds.
❗Important ❗
The customization of an item can also lead to a refusal of after-sales service by the brand, such as repairs.
Refusal linked to a Lifestyle product
Unfortunately we are no longer able to accept Lifestyle items, (such as pens, kitchenware, books...) as these no longer form part of our catalogue.
💡 Good to know: If your listing has been refused, don't give up! Thousands of items are sold every day on Vestiaire Collective and the listing process takes just a few minutes. You'll be an expert in no time!
