Smart Listing is a photo-first way to list your items on Vestiaire Collective. Instead of filling out a blank form step-by-step, you start by uploading your photos, and our system automatically pre-fills key item attributes based on your images.
You simply review the suggestions, make any necessary corrections, and publish. This tool is designed to make listing faster and reduce manual entry.

Understanding Smart Listing
The system scans the first 3 photos to identify the item's attributes (including category, brand, color, material).
Automated suggestions are pre-filled into the form, but they are not final until you review and confirm them.

Note : This feature does not replace the traditional method. Both the manual flow and Smart Listing sit alongside each other whenever you begin a new listing.
Tips for the Best Experience
Depending on how clearly your item is recognized, the system will either automatically pre-fill the field for you (which you can still edit), offer suggestions when you tap into a blank field, or leave it entirely manual for highly unique pieces. Place your most informative photos—such as a clear front view and a direct shot of the brand or care label—among your first 3 uploads to improve AI accuracy.
Double-check every pre-filled field before checking the confirmation box to publish.

Note: Submitting incorrect information without reviewing it will flag the item during our standard curation process and may lead to a rejection.
Common questions
What if the tool suggests the wrong information and my item gets rejected?
The responsibility for the accuracy of a listing remains entirely on the seller's side. Because all pre-filled fields are fully editable before submission, you must verify the details. If an item is rejected by our curation team due to incorrect details, you will need to relist it with the correct information.
What if Smart Listing is very slow or doesn't load?
Check your internet connection and try uploading the photos again. Ensure your images are in standard formats (like JPEG or PNG) and are not excessively large. If the issue persists, please contact us so our technical team can resolve it.
Can I opt out of Smart Listing and go back to the manual form?
Yes. Smart Listing is entirely optional. The manual listing form remains available at all times, and you can choose which flow to use whenever you click the "Start Selling" button.
Are my photos or personal data shared with third parties?
When you use Smart Listing Beta, the photos you upload are transmitted to an external AI model provider to generate the item suggestions you see pre-filled in your listing form. No personal information about you — such as your name, account details, or contact information — is shared with the AI provider in this process.
