Starting November 2022 and over the next 3 years, fast fashion brands will be banned from being bought, sold or listed on Vestiaire Collective.
Why? Because we say no to a system that supports overconsumption, poor quality and over production. Instead, we encourage you to buy fewer, better quality items that last.
Fast fashion is the industry’s biggest challenge. In the past 15 years, global clothing production has doubled. We’re buying more low quality items than ever before, but we’re using them 40% less.
By progressively banning fast fashion brands from the platform, we're reinforcing the idea of buying quality over quantity, and encouraging consumers to invest in craftsmanship at more affordable prices.
We encourage you to reuse, repair or upcycle your item, so it doesn’t end up in landfill.
Long Live Fashion.
