The list has been updated on June 26th and this update has been reflected on all listings.
Our current commission structure for Professional Sellers has two commission rates:
Standard Commission is always equal or lower – depending on a product’s price range – to the general selling fees on Vestiaire Collective
Reduced Commission will always be lower than the general selling fees
Why are there two different commission rates?
We want to ensure an exceptional experience for our whole community. To reward our most reliable sellers and improve the buyer experience, the Vestiaire Collective team reviews the number of orders canceled each month - this is known as your Monthly Repayment Rate. We believe that sellers with a low Monthly Repayment Rate deserve a reduced commission rate.
What do you mean by ‘repayment’?
At Vestiaire Collective, repayment refers to the process of a sale being cancelled and a full refund being issued to a buyer for that cancelled sale.
A sale cancellation can be triggered for a wide variety of reasons. For example, when the buyer reports an issue with an item they have received and returns their order, or when the seller does not ship the order within 7 days.
What is my Monthly Total Repayment Rate?
Your Total Repayment Rate is the number of canceled sales each month, calculated as a percentage of your total sales each month.
For example, if you made 25 sales within one month, but 5 of those sales were canceled, your Total Repayment Rate would be 20%.
Your Monthly Total Repayment Rate will be negatively impacted if a cancellation is made for the following reasons only:
Issues of authenticity - when an item’s authenticity cannot be verified.
Issues of conformity - when the item does not match the description provided by you at the time of listing (eg. size, color, condition)
Non-shipment - when an item is not shipped within the allowed shipping window.
Will other cancellation reasons impact my commission rate?
Only cancellations for the three reasons mentioned above are included in your Total Repayment Rate. No other cancellation reason will impact your commission rate.
How will I know what my commission rate is?
On the 15th of each month, you will receive a report which will include your Repayment Rate based on sales and cancellations made within the previous calendar month, and your upcoming commission rate.
Professional Sellers who maintain a monthly repayment rate of 10% or under will enjoy the reduced commission rate.
Any change to your commission rate will be applied the following business day to all live items and new listings, and will be valid until the 15th day of the next month.
