We do everything in our power to ensure every item sold on Vestiaire Collective arrives exactly as described by the seller. Only approved items make it onto our platform, ensuring our community can shop with confidence.
If our Quality Control & Authentication teams are not able to approve an item, it means the item did not respect our 🔍 Catalog Rules, did not match its description or did not match its accompanying photographs.

During Physical Authentication:
If an item or additional elements (eg: an authentic bag with a counterfeit handle) fails Authentication because it does not meet standards for this category, we will email you a detailed report. You can access this report anytime via the timeline for your order or sale. The report includes a detailed breakdown of our review and findings.
What happens to my item now?
The sale will be canceled and you will need to pay a small processing fee in order to have your item returned to you.
You will receive an email that contains a secure payment link. This link is supported by our trusted financial partner, to ensure the highest level of protection.
During Quality Control:
If your item has not been approved, then our experts have found your product, or an additional element (eg: a customized watch), to either not follow our Catalog Rules or the buyer does not want to confirm the sale based on the information they received in the 🔍 Quality Control Report.
What happens to my item?
The sale will be canceled and the item will be returned to your ship from address. As soon as we ship the item, we will send you all the tracking information via email.
Once shipped, you can track your delivery by following the steps below:
On the App: Me → My items → Sold items
On the Website: My account → Orders & Sales → Sold items
Find the item in question, click Show Details, then click the tracking number for further details.
If, as part of the returns process, your item crosses an international border, additional duties and taxes may be incurred. In this case, the carrier will contact you directly to arrange the payment of these in order to return your item to you.
