What happens during the review period for listings?
Our experts review all listings before they are published, and passing our item review is easy. Keep in mind that:
- Any wear or flaws must be mentioned in the description and pictured on the photos
- The main photo of your listing should meet the following requirements:
- Products cannot be worn by a model. It should be displayed hung or on a mannequin.
- Photos must not come from the Internet; no retail photos or stock photos.

- Modified/altered items
- “Not for Sale” gifts and samples
- Uniforms
- Items made of fur or breakable materials such as glass, ceramic, etc.
- The item can’t be unbranded, and we may not accept the brand. See the list of brands we accept 🔍 here

As a seller, do I have to take returns on Vestiaire Collective?
Vestiaire Collective does not offer returns for buyers, so any individual sellers have their items listed as final sale.
However, if you are a professional seller, buyers will have ⏰ 14 days to return your items. See more 🔍here.
How does payment work on Vestiaire Collective?
Payment works a bit faster on Vestiaire Collective. If your item is shipped directly to the buyer, you will be paid ⏰ 72 hours after delivery, as long as there are no issues.
If the buyer has elected for an Authenticity check, you will be paid when the item goes through Vestiaire Collective’s Quality Control & Authentication review.
You will see your earnings have already had the selling fee and payment processing fee deducted. See more 🔍 here.
What shipping options are available on Vestiaire Collective?
All orders on Vestiaire will use their prepaid label shipping option. The label is free of charge and you will be able to print it from your Vestiaire account at the time of shipping. Then, you will use your own packing materials to ship your item out.
What happens to my listings where I chose to use Tradesy shipping kits?
When we moved over your listings, we had to change the listing to ship with a prepaid label since Vestiaire Collective does not offer shipping kits. Your item will now ship with Vestiaire's prepaid label. Like Tradesy, the label is free of charge (paid by buyers) and provided at the time of sale.
The cost of your item will show no shipping charge, as Vestiaire does not add the cost of shipping to the price of the item until the buyer starts the checkout process, and then the cost of the label is separated in the order breakdown for the buyer.
Can I ship via USPS on Vestiaire?
Since Vestiaire provides the shipping label for the sale, you may see your shipping carriers change from sale to sale. The shipping provider is based on multiple criteria (locations of the seller in relation to the buyer, price of the item, or brand, among other things). Unfortunately, a seller cannot choose their preferred carrier.
How do I know which listings I have that will be directly shipped to the buyer or will be sent to Vestiaire Collective for Quality Control?
Buyers have the choice to have their item shipped directly to them, or have the item inspected by Vestiaire's Quality Control & Authenticity experts for a $15 fee. In that case, you will ship to Vestiaire’s hub for the item to be reviewed, and then Vestiaire ships the item to the buyer if it passes the review. See more 🔍 here.
What happens if the buyer says my item doesn’t match the listing?
Buyers are unable to return items, but if they get an item that does not match the listing details, they can contact Vestiaire Collective to have the item inspected and authenticated by experts. If our Quality Control and Authentication review finds the item did not match the listing, you may have any seller badges removed, and your account may be negatively impacted.
What are seller badges on Vestiaire Collective?
Since your historical data is being moved over time, you will not have a seller badge right away. You’ll see as you have sales on Vestiaire, that you may qualify for the Trusted Seller badge and/or the Expert Seller Badge. You can find more details about the 🔍 Trusted Seller badge here, and 🔍 Expert Seller badge here.
How does the "make an offer" feature work on Vestiaire Collective, and how do I make an offer to buyers?
The option to make an offer has been enabled for all of your items moved from Tradesy to Vestiaire. You can choose to disable the option to make an offer on an individual item or your entire closet.
The offer made by a buyer can only be up to 30% lower than the price you have set for the sale. When you receive an offer, you have up to ⏰ 48 hours to accept, decline or make a counter-offer.
If you accept the offer, the buyer has ⏰ 24 hours to complete their order. As a seller, you can also propose offers to users that liked your items. You can see more about making an offer and settings 🔍 here, and how to handle a counter offer 🔍 here.
