Consult the Community
A great place to start is our knowledgeable Vestiaire Collective community, whose listings can act as the perfect price guide.
Search on Vestiaire Collective for items similar to yours in the same condition, and you’ll have a good ballpark price to start from to make sure you settle on a fair and competitive price.
Consider Brand & Demand
Your price should be consistent with the item’s brand, while also taking into account its scarcity as a pre-loved piece. If your item is considered a classic, or is part of a brand’s permanent collection, demand is usually consistent and high. As a result, you can expect prices to match - depending on the item’s condition, of course.
Seasonal items may no longer be in such high demand, so bear this in mind if you want to sell swiftly at a fair price. And of course - keep an eye on the latest trends!
Don’t forget the extras
Do you have the item’s original dust bag? Authenticity card? Branded packaging? These add that special something to your item that could prove irresistible to our expert community.
💡 Good to know - If you’re open to a little haggling, don’t forget to enable the Make an Offer option on your listing. This means potential buyers will be able to offer a slightly lower price than the one you have listed. Don’t worry, an offer can never be less than 70% of your full price! For more details on how Make an Offer works for sellers, just 🔍 click here.
Remember: Second-hand and vintage items don't all age in the same way. This could be the reason for a significant difference in the prices of two similar items.
