Does Klarna require identity and credit checks?
Klarna may need to carry out identity and credit checks in order to validate your order. This ensures that the information you have provided is correct and that it is definitely you making the purchase. If a customer decides to make a purchase using the installment plan option, Klarna is required by law to carry out a credit check in order to protect them against personal over-indebtedness.
Please note that credit checks should not impact your overall credit score.
