If you've ordered an item from a different country, the carrier may contact you to confirm some further details. This is a process undertaken by the carrier and is unfortunately beyond our control.
In these cases, you may need to provide one of the following:
- Proof of ID
- Proof of purchase eg. a screenshot of your bank statement showing the debit
- Another document specific to the requirements of the country to which the parcel has been shipped
If you are a buyer based in Turkey and have placed an order with a value of more than 150£, DHL will contact you to confirm whether they can complete the customs clearance for you, or if you would prefer to use your own broker. You should not need to pay any additional fees.
If you choose your own broker, you will need to pay any additional fees incurred yourself, and Vestiaire Collective will no longer be involved in the customs clearance process.
💡 Good to know: The quickest and easiest solution is to allow DHL to handle customs clearance for you.
Important: Your order will only be released for delivery once the necessary customs clearance has been completed by DHL or your chosen broker.
