During quality checks, our experts carefully review items to ensure they accurately match the listing description and meet expectations. This includes item condition, colour, size, pictures and adherence to our catalogue rules. Learn more about our quality control reports here.
If you received a quality control report, the item you sold differs from the description in its listing. Our report explains these discrepancies in detail, including:
- Name of the detected discrepancy
- Supporting pictures
- Significance of discrepancy (if relevant)
To access your quality control report:
On the App
- Select Me → Sales → your sale
- Select the item → Show Details
On the website
- Select See my account → Order & Sales
- Click on your sale
Please note that quality control reports verify description accuracy, not authenticity. Our authentication experts approve items before they reach quality control.
For items that differ from the description and/or pictures
We'll send the quality control report to your buyer. They'll have 72 hours to confirm their order or request a full refund. We’ll cancel the sale if they do not respond within 72 hours.
If your sale is cancelled, you can choose from two options:
Get the item returned: we’ll ship the item back to you. You’ll be responsible for any duties and taxes incurred during reshipment.
Store it safely at Vestiaire Collective for sale: we’ll relist the item on your account with an updated description and condition, shipping it directly to the next buyer once sold. You’ll receive all proceeds from the sale minus our usual selling fee.
For items that disrespect our catalogue rules
We'll cancel your sale and issue the buyer a full refund. Your item will be shipped back to you shortly.
