On 7th November 2022, the Singapore Parliament passed the Goods and Services Tax (Amendment) Act.
As a result, the rate of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in Singapore changed on 1st January 2023.
What was the previous Goods & Services Tax in Singapore?
Previously, a 7% Goods and Services Tax was applied on orders coming from overseas if the order value (ie. the price of the item plus any shipping fees) was higher than 400 Singapore Dollars.
What changed?
From 1st January 2023, all orders coming from overseas will be subject to an 8% Goods and Services Tax.
How do I know how much I’m paying in Goods & Services Tax?
The amount of Goods & Services Tax you’ll pay on an order will be displayed in the checkout under Import Duties & Tax.
