When you add authentication & quality control to an order, the item is sent to one of our hubs for physical review before delivery. This service is available at a fee of £15 per item.
💡 Good to know: Sellers have 7 days to ship the item to our hub. You can track its progress through our app or website. (If the seller fails to ship the item within 7 days, we automatically cancel the order and issue a full refund via your original payment method.)
We start the authentication and quality control process once an item arrives at our hub.
Authentication
First, our experts thoroughly inspect several categories to verify authenticity. Depending on the item, this may include:
- Packaging and dustbag
- Material
- Typography
- Finishes and stitching
- Metal parts and engravings
- Serial number
- Invoice
- Authenticity card
For watches, please note we cannot guarantee waterproofing after authentication because the process may affect waterproofing. Learn more about our authentication process here.
If an item fails Authentication because it does not meet standards for this category, we will email you a detailed report. You can access this report anytime via the timeline for your order or sale. The report includes a detailed breakdown of our review and findings.
Quality control
Once authenticated, items move to quality control. Here, we carefully review items to ensure they accurately match listings and will meet buyer expectations. Our check includes:
- Item condition, as detailed here
- Colour accuracy
- Size confirmation
- Material
- Adherence to our catalogue rules
If an item violates our catalogue rules, we immediately cancel the order, issue you a full refund, and send a quality control report.
If an item differs from its description or pictures, you receive a quality control report and have 72 hours to confirm the order or request a full refund. We automatically cancel the order if you do not respond within 72 hours.

Shipment to you
We ship items on the same day they're verified, sharing tracking information and estimated delivery via email. This information is also visible within your order on the app or website. On average, items arrive within 7 days.
