What is phishing?
Phishing is a cybersecurity threat where attackers pose as trusted organizations to trick you into revealing sensitive information like passwords, credit card details, or personal data.
These scams typically arrive via email, text messages, QR code attachments or fake websites that look legitimate but contain suspicious links or urgent requests.
How to recognize scam and phishing messages
Although scams and phishing messages impersonate Vestiaire Collective, you can often recognize them by looking for the following signs:
Unexpected and unusual requests
Be wary of messages that ask for personal information, account details, payment outside the platform, payment of gift cards.
❗Transactions on the platform are the only ones that are legitimate. Always access your account through our app or by typing vestiairecollective.com in your browser and avoid leaving Vestiaire Collective to contact others❗
❗Your information matters: We'll never ask for your password or payment details via email❗
❗Don’t open suspicious links on the Buyer / Seller Chat❗
Suspicious Links and Attachments
Beware of links or download attachments from unknown or suspicious sources that you may receive by email. Phishers often use these to steal your information or install malware or viruses. Don’t open links or attachments you’re not sure about.
Unusual Sender's Address
Please check the sender's email address carefully. It may look legitimate at first glance but often contains subtle misspellings or incorrect domains.
