Your country of residence determines their own particular customs regulations that might prevent you from being able to order certain items. In some cases, restrictions can apply to the materials used in the production of certain items.
For example, customs restrictions may be applied to:
- Exotic leather
- Furs
- Pearls
- Sunglasses
- Children's items
In some cases, these restrictions apply even on shipping within the same country. If you are based in one of the following countries and there is a restriction on the item you want to sell, you will not be able to ship the item to a buyer.
- United Arab Emirates
- Australia
- Indonesia
- Israel
- Japan
- Malaysia
- Philippines
- Singapore
- Turkey
- Taiwan
- Canada
To give an example of these restrictions at work, a European buyer cannot buy an item made from exotic leather currently located in the U.S, and therefore may not be able to purchase this item on Vestiaire Collective.
For this reason, you may not be able to place an order for certain items on Vestiaire Collective, simply to avoid the disappointment that would be caused by those items being held or even destroyed while in transit.
