If you've ordered an item from a different country, the carrier may contact you to confirm some further details. This is a process undertaken by the carrier and is unfortunately beyond our control.
In these cases, you may need to provide one of the following:
- Proof of ID
- Proof of purchase eg. a screenshot of your bank statement showing the debit
- Another document specific to the requirements of the country to which the parcel has been shipped
If you are a buyer based in the United States and have placed an order with a value of more than $2500, the carrier will contact you asking for one of the following:
- Your registration number
- Your identification number
Examples include (EIN, SSN, VAT, GST, and RFC)
💡 Good to know: The quickest and easiest solution as an individual buyer is to provide your SSN (Social Security Number).
If you choose your own broker, you will need to pay any additional fees incurred yourself, and Vestiaire Collective will no longer be involved in the customs clearance process.

Important: Your order will only be released for delivery once the necessary customs clearance has been completed by DHL or your chosen broker.
