To provide your proof of ID, you can upload a picture of it or scan it in. You can use your passport or your National ID card.
If you’re using your passport, you must take a photo or scan the page which contains your photo ID. For your proof of ID to be validated, you must upload it twice to the website.
If you’re using your National ID card, you must take a photo or scan it front and back.
To upload your proof of ID:
1. Sign in to your 'Account'
2. Select the ‘Wallet’ tab
3. Go to the ‘My personal information’ section
Make sure the ID you upload is clear and legible, above all the photo of you! The formats you can use are: jpeg, .png or .pdf.
Important: It will take two working days (Monday to Friday) for your request to be validated
Why do I have to provide my proof of ID?
In accordance with the General Terms and Conditions of the MangoPay service on our website, as a distributor of electronic money, we must comply with European and French regulations, particularly with regards to the fight against money laundering.
These regulations allow us to verify the identities of the users of our electronic money service. This is why we ask you to upload a copy of your ID. If we are unable to finalize this process, you will not be able to hold more than 2.500 euros of electronic money
